Team Overview:

We have a team of five business development individuals focused on finding financial advisor partnerships. The team reports into our marketing organization and works closely with product and senior leadership.

Position Overview:

At Masterworks, we help investors allocate a portion (usually less than 5% initially) of their portfolio to blue chip art. To help with the remainder of the investors’ portfolios (such as stocks, bonds, and other investments), we connect them with 3rd party financial advisors in exchange for a referral fee.

Masterworks is seeking a driven and focused salesperson or financial advisor familiar with the world of registered investment advisors (RIAs). You will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining our network of advisors.

Our ideal candidate is experienced with CRMs, outreach, sales, and negotiation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about partnerships and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outreach to financial advisors

Requirements and Preferred Skill Sets:

  • 2+ years of experience in wealth management and/or sales
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, and CRMs
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or similar disciplines preferred
  • Experience and deep understanding of the RIA space preferred

Measurement of Success within 60 days:

  • Onboard 50 independent financial advisors to our network with 30-day free trials

How does Masterworks think about compensation?

The compensation range for the role is $70-110k (inclusive only of base salary and on-target commission, but exclusive of other benefits). Our ranges are very broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.
